Poland’s Internal Security Agency (ABW) said hackers breached water treatment facilities in five Polish towns during 2025, in some cases gaining access to industrial control systems (ICS) capable of disrupting water operations. According to the agency, attackers were able to alter technical device parameters, creating what officials described as a “direct risk” to the continuity of water supplies.
